Kiln Dried Birch Firewood
Birch wood is fine-grained and pale in color, often with an attractive satin like sheen Color.
We produces both the fresh and kiln dried type of Birch firewood.
The heat is good but it burns quickly with a bright flame, without popping, even when frozen and freshly hewn. The bark will burn very well even when wet because of the oils it contains. Birch firewood has a high calorific value- 8,33KJ.
In order to get this high caloric value Birch firewood must be kiln dried either mechanically or in a natural way. Our produced Birch firewood moisture should be around 16- 18 %. When you dried it naturally it takes around two years and then moisture is around 20 %.
